Material considerations

In the last few weeks we’ve reached a consensus (of the two of us!) and agreed to extend the studio, making use of the existing foundations. We’ll be losing the side area office, which didn’t have foundations as it would cause some complications with the roof structure and didn’t have enough ceiling height.
These pragmatic choices mean we’re able to keep costs more streamlined and start thinking through materials.
Our architect suggested having a bit of a dive into agricultural materials as an innovative and cost effective approach. I’m not sold on all of the suggestions but it feels like the start of some good lateral thinking.
